f04c0daf28 solve_waveguide_mode_2d -> vsolve_*
- return (e_xy. wavenumber)
- vectorized inputs since we returned a vectorized output
- exy -> e_xy

b5ad284966 dx_prop -> prop_phase
propagation direction wavenumber might be different from
operator-derived (2D) wavenumber due to numerical dispersion, so lump it
in with dx_prop
